Presentation Title: Testing for Integrated Oracle Implementations: A Real World Case Study
Speaker: Mr Stevan Zivanovic
Company: Infuse
Presentation abstract: Intended audience: Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Test Managers, and Senior Functional & Technical Consultants; those who are directly or indirectly involved with software testing.

This is a real life case study of the approach to and delivery of testing on an implementation of multiple Oracle applications, which included: E-Business, Customer Data Hub, Data Reference Management, Fusion Middleware, Hyperion, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, Eloqua and other non-Oracle systems.

We will describe the approach to testing and QA on this long running, multi-million pound programme. The key aspect of this programme was the integration of Oracle and non-Oracle enterprise systems, which called for a specific focus on the System Integration Testing phase. Here we will cover: the challenges and how they were overcome, the approach taken, the techniques used to analyse and define the tests, the tools used for building test automation from the start and continuous regression testing. We will conclude by summarising the results of this to the programme and its benefits.

Key takeaways:

• Understand the key lessons learnt to apply to other programmes

• Outline a test approach for a large scale Oracle implementation

• Identify the skills and tools that assist testing

• Discover test automation approaches
